I grew up outside of Holly Pond, AL. and graduated from Holly Pond High School. God saved me at age ten at Redan Baptist Church where I also surrendered to the ministry in August 1982 at age 18. I have pastored four churches; West Greene, in Greene County, AL (1984-1990), Calvary in Tylertown, MS (1991- 1995), Briarwood in Meridian, MS (1995-2001), and here at FBC Fairview (2001-present). I earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of West Alabama(1988), an M.Div. in Pastoral Works from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary(1993), and a D.Min. in Church Growth and Leadership from Samford University(2001). I married Renee Moss of Millry, AL, in 1987. We have two married sons; Micah(Makenzie) and Caleb(Olivia), and one GRANDson(Silas).
My name is Drew Pearson. I grew up in Fairview and was lucky to marry my high school sweetheart Stacey a few years after graduating. Since then, God has blessed our family immensely. We have two wonderful sons and one beautiful daughter. Our work in worship ministry has introduced us to the most wonderful people in many different churches over the years, many of which we still work together with today. God has given me a passion for building worship teams full of sincere, talented, humble people who serve our congregation through song. Whether we’re singing the newest contemporary music or the traditional music we all grew up with, these people that serve our church week in and week out continually amaze me. I am forever thankful that God allows me to serve alongside them.
I am from Corner, Alabama. I surrendered to Christ when I was fifteen and felt the call to ministry at age seventeen. I married the love of my life, Meagan Walker, in May 2019 and moved to Hanceville, Alabama. I was blessed with the opportunity to become the Minister of Youth at FBC Fairview in January 2020, and God blessed our family with our son Josiah that November. God continues to bless my family and me with the opportunity to serve our youth and our church family.
